Maroochydore CBD Expansion Sees Opening of New Five-Storey Structure

The Maroochydore CBD has welcomed the opening of a new $20 million commercial structure, housing a tech company, accountants, design companies, and restaurants.

On March 3 2023, Evans Long launched his business, A1, located on First Avenue at the entrance of the burgeoning city centre.

The construction includes the following: a first-floor retail area, a parking garage, three stories of office space, end-of-trip amenities, a terrace on the roof, and a view of both Maroochydore and the ocean.

After the accomplishment of Evans Long’s Foundation Place construction, it became the first commercial establishment in the area.

The structure is occupied by occupants from the local area, throughout the country, and from around the world.

Sujay Singh, the leader of development for Evans Long, expressed his pride in A1’s crisp lines and classic architectural design.

Maropost, the largest global tech firm on the Sunshine Coast, has snapped up two floors of the building. Furthermore, MODE Design – an international architecture and urban design firm – as well as Sunshine Coast Property Accountants, Sherrin Partners, and Yield Advisory – all professional services firms – are among the other tenants.

HIKARU Sushi, now operating under the name KIBOU Japanese, and Harvest cafe have both secured 500sqm of ground-floor space.

Mr Singh declared that the building had an abundance of space available for occupants.

The requirements of a number of Sunshine Coast commercial businesses have been fulfilled by A1, as they have been expanding and requiring more space. According to him, there has been a movement towards quality workplace settings, supported by a sound regional economy and the increase of the Sunshine Coast area.

Retail Express, a veteran tech business located on the Sunshine Coast, was taken over by Maropost, a Canadian Global Software firm, in 2022 and has made A1 its home base.

Aaron Blackman, the Chief Operating Officer, declared that Maropost intends to bring in and hire more than 200 personnel for their freshly established headquarters, with roles ranging from engineering and sales to marketing, support, and upper management.

He conveyed that they think the new building will assist them in their aim to be the top in the international market for retail, eCommerce, and marketing automation software.

It is certain that our new office will be essential in drawing in and keeping local personnel.
