Maroochydore CBD Private Hospital Has Begun

The rapidly growing Maroochydore City Centre, located on the picturesque Sunshine Coast, has recently embarked on a monumental journey. The construction of a $100 million, 10-storey private hospital is now underway, promising state-of-the-art medical and educational facilities. This development is a significant milestone in the growth of the city centre, renowned as ‘Australia’s largest greenfield CBD development’.

A MAJOR LEAP FORWARD

Walker Corporation, a Sydney-based company, has struck a deal with the local council and its wholly owned project delivery entity, SunCentral. The agreement entails a whopping $2.5 billion investment over two decades. This funding will be allocated to 160,000sqm of commercial and retail space as well as 4,000 residential apartments.

This exciting development represents a major step forward in positioning Maroochydore City Centre as a vibrant and progressive destination.” – Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson

COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS

In a separate venture, Barwon Investment Partners, a specialist fund manager, has partnered with Fortius Health to bring this hospital to life. The hospital aims to provide world-class medical services to residents, eliminating the need for long-distance travel. Fortius Health, formerly known as DPA Health, has a long-standing reputation in developing hospitals throughout Australia since 2001.
